Hannah Eichler is Deputy Editor of The Daily Mail’s popular Fashion Finder, a stylist and a former fashion lecturer. As if that wasn’t enough, she is also a busy mum to her gorgeous son, Beau. Like the superwoman she is, Hannah still finds the time to fulfil her passion for homewares & interior styling via her online vintage store The Crockery Lady. As you can see, she’s a busy lady so we were delighted when she agreed to catch up with us and chat all about handbags!
What are your wardrobe essentials for this season?
My style has really changed since having a baby, I’m all about wearing much more relaxed pieces which make me feel instantly pulled together. I can’t stop wearing my Donna Ida denim jumpsuit, some leopard print H&M trousers, a bomber jacket by Victoria Beckham X Reebok and my Gola trainers.
You’re a very busy lady, what’s in your handbag right now?
A lot of very unglamorous things! Nappies, wipes, baby toys mixed in with instant fix make up like Daniel Sandler blusher, Burts Bees lip balm, Neals Yard hand cream and I’m usually carrying some kind of vintage homeware which I’ve scoured for my The Crockery Lady business.
That’s certainly a lot to carry, you must need a large bag with you at all times! Do you ever carry a smaller handbag?
I spend a lot of time carrying lots of stuff so I need roomy bags, but when I get to travel light it feels like a real luxury. When I’m getting dressed up a fresh mani and a chic evening bag can make even the most simple outfits feel elegant.
Which Sarah Haran bag is your favourite style / colour combination?
I’m a leopard print lover for life, and I just love the little Lily - the oversized tassel makes a statement and I can wear it as a crossbody or clutch.
If you could design your dream bag, what would it look like?
My main criteria for a bag is one that helps keep me organised - different compartments or extra pouches inside are always useful. As my style is quite simple with denim as a base I like my bags to make a statement with a fun print or bright colour, plus I always wear gold jewellery so I like the hardware on my bags to match.
