Last weekend we packed up our joy bus and travelled down to join the Postcards from Midlife ladies at the Business Design Centre in London.
What started as a podcast, has become so much more, Trish and Lorraine organised a huge event to celebrate the ups and downs of being women. With plenty of informative talks about how we can improve the quality of our midlife, as well as lots of inspiring life stories told by powerful, middle aged women. There were also countless stalls to be visited, as vendors pitched everything from menopause supplements to beauty products for mature skin, that is of course, where we come in!
If there’s ever a time when a women needs a little bit of luxury, its during midlife. What could make you feel more powerful than having a beautiful handbag in your arsenal, ready to attract attention, showcase your style, and build your confidence when you need it most.
What started as a blank canvas, a plain, white-walled plot, soon took shape as a joyful, pink stand with bags in every shape, colour and print. It didn’t take long for us to get to work introducing the brand to lots of lovely new ladies! We had a fabulous time chatting to everyone as they marvelled at our fabulous modular handbags and welcomed some to our Joy Squad.
As if that wasn’t enough, the gorgeous Anthea Turner was with us all day on Friday. Our visitors were treated to signed copies of her amazing new book, How to Age Well. While she was busy getting everyone excited about the bags, something I’m sure we all agree she is the best at!
Our stand also welcomed a host of Influencers and business owners, Carole Marchant, Gabbie Greenberg and Jules Standish were just a few who stopped by for an impromptu photoshoot!
Above all, we loved seeing so many of our Joy Squad, who came to support the brand, and were perhaps tempted towards a SHoops! The support we have recieved from you all over the last few years has been monumental, we really couldn't ask for better group of ladies, who we are proud to have become friends with.
This was just the first of many events we have coming up this year, if you would like to come along and see what all the fuss is all about, you can view our upcoming events here, we can’t wait to see you!
