Meet: Marie Louise Pumfrey
We love getting the SHcoop on all things SHtyle, and who better to take advice from than our very own Instagram stars. We’re delving into the bags of our favourite fashionistas and this week we caught up with PR superstar Marie Louise Pumfrey AKA Mrs ML Mode.
An Instagram savvy, communications specialist, Marie Louise is the founder of MLPR - a leading London boutique consultancy specialising in retail, fashion and beauty. An influencer herself, Marie Louise gave us her inside information, from what she keep in her handbag, to her must have style accessories of the season.
Having your own PR business can mean a lot of running around, what essentials do you carry in your handbag everyday?
Right now, my handbag is holding my keys, lipstick, phone, painkillers and hand sanitizer- its everything I need when I’m on the go.
Do you prefer a larger bag that you can fit your life in, or a mini bag with just space for the essentials?
I always choose a mini bag for day-to-day. I hate lugging unnecessary weight around London all day, so I prefer to keep it simple with just the essentials.
You often post styling videos on your Instagram, which Sarah Haran bags and colours best suit your individual style?
I love the Jessica- she is so versatile and chic! I’ll be taking her to Brighton on Friday as I can fit my overnight essentials in there and use the detachable Ivy in the evening as a clutch- She’s the only bag I will need for the trip. I love the Champagne colour and I will switch up her look with different straps.
What’s your favourite way to mix your Sarah Haran bag up?
I am never without a crossbody bag as I’m always running around London for meetings and fun stuff! I like to detach the Ivy from Jessica and wear her as a crossbody with the tassel as a finishing touch.
If you could design your dream bag, what would it look like?
I would really love a small bucket bag, a crossbody would be ideal, and she would be made from suede and finished with some tassels of course!
We love your style, what are your wardrobe essentials for this season?
My must haves are knee-high boots from Fairfax and Favour, my Isabel Marant oversized blazer, Donna Ida jeans and my Phase Eight wide legged trousers with a simple knit. I’ve treated myself to a new pair of Eberjey PJs to keep my cosy this season and they are most comfortable! Currently I am loving Uniqlo and Brodie too.
