Handbag Trends

Hard to believe that the Autumn and Winter collections are coming along already, mind you, maybe not when you look outside the window and see some of the weather we have been getting! Anyway in preparation for the next season I thought I would gather up handbag seasonal trends so we can all be prepared.  Of course here at VV Amore we re already getting ready with updated handmade handbags for the coming season. Here is what is on offer!
The season is trending towards soft leathers, mixed with exotic skins, some quilting and studded hardware.  Shapes in the form of Vintage (think of your Granny’s box handbags or Birkin inspired shapes) and Slouchy are still very much on trend. Size is still key, so we can all feel safe knowing that it’s okay to carry all our gear around with us in our large handbags. Metal chains looks as if they are with us also for another season and Rock Chick chic though in a more feminine style has inspired the catwalks again for this season.

Colours are of course key and as ever black and brown remain popular.  However try to spice it up with some dark greens, maroons, oranges, reds and magenta giving you some flashes of colour.  Electric blue is still very much in evidence so make sure you still give it a place in your wardrobe. Earthy greens pick up the environmental consciousness of us all and consideration should be given to recycling handbags in these credit crunch times.
